Meet Our Founder

Founder of Youth United for Purpose

(Y. U. P.), Terrence Coles was born on August 22nd, 1988 in Detroit, Michigan. Coles studied Music Engineering at Schoolcraft College and received an associates degree in 2014. He then moved to Canton, Missouri to attend Culver-Stockton College on a full basketball scholarship. It was from Culver-Stockton that Coles received his bachelor of science in Criminal Justice in December of 2016. Coles completed his internship at Chaddock Education Center prior to graduation. In February of 2017, he accepted a full-time position at Chaddock as a Youth Counselor. He currently works with youth ages 12 to 18. While at Chaddock, Coles was motivated to begin a journey that incorporated youth in an environment that increases their success rate in education, social skills, behavioral adaptation, and goal-setting. With these attributes, Coles believes the youth of today can change the world.

Tony D. Ardison, co-founder of Y.U.P, was born and raised, the eldest of four siblings in Shreveport, Louisiana.  He left Shreveport in 2010 after receiving a basketball scholarship from Hannibal-LaGrange University.  There, he met his beautiful wife, Kyla M. Ardison.  In December of 2015, his wife and two kids cheered as he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Business.  Tony proceeded to work as a Deputy Juvenile Officer for the 10th Judicial Circuit of Missouri.  Passionate about helping kids succeed, the decision to work as a Juvenile Officer was a natural fit.  Tony loves spending his free time with his wife and kids, watching movies, and playing basketball.  He also runs a local Cleaning Business and loves volunteering his time to coaching youth basketball.

Children have so much to offer to the world - we believe in the power that they hold, and know that they will mold future generations to come. At Youth United for Purpose, we are here to give them the support they need in order to shape them into leaders of the future. We have a number of educational programs and leadership initiatives that help nurture our youth and help them develop the skills they will carry throughout their lives. Donate today, and see how you can make an impact!

Our Goal:

OUR GOAL: Million Dollar Project!!  Our Goal is to build a youth retreat camp (CAMP UNITED) in the state of Missouri where youth all over the nation will have the opportunity to be mentored by guest speakers who have positive influences. Camp United will be a 30-40-acre lot where not only ourselves but volunteers will be able to assist in building four cottages/cabins, a large cafeteria, a basketball court, a baseball field, sand volleyball area, soccer area, manmade lake for water obstacle course, a pavilion for shelter in the picnic area and a shed for housing outdoor equipment.

  • CABINS will be furnished with bunk beds, sheets, covers, trash cans, cleaning supplies, lamps, and lighting fixtures.

  • CAFETERIA with commercial size kitchen appliances such as a dish washer, refrigerator, stove, walk-in freezer, microwaves, Hobart mixer, shelves, tables to prep for food, serving line, dishes, silverware, cookware, bakeware, and tables/chairs.

  • LAUNDRY facility with commercial size washers/dryers, detergent, trash cans, fabric softener, cabinets to store cleaning supplies and laundry/beddings, wash cloths and towels.
